For each client, you have the Current column, which shows the amount that’s owed but not yet overdue. Moving to the right, you have a sliding scale that shows how far out any payments are overdue. For instance, if a payment is less than thirty days overdue, between 31 and 60 days overdue, between 61 and 90 days overdue, and finally any payment that’s more than 90 days overdue. SKIMMER BILLING – SALES TAX REPORTS

These Billing Reports are used to understand how much sales tax was collected (Cash) or billed (Accrual) on invoices. They help estimate how much you’ll need to disburse to your local or state tax authorities (as set in your Tax Settings).
Sales Tax Summary (Cash Basis): This report is based on payments you’ve actually received (minus refunds). It uses invoice line items and whether each one is marked “Taxable.” The date range is driven by payment and refund dates, not when the invoice was created.

Example: You invoice a customer $200 in August for pool service, but they don’t pay until September. The tax for that invoice will appear in September's Cash report, since that’s when the money actually hit your account.

Key numbers you’ll see:
  • Net Payments Collected – payments minus refunds
  • Subject to Tax – sum of invoice line items that are marked as taxable
  • Not Subject to Tax – line items not marked as taxable, plus non-taxable items like service fees
  • Tax Collected – tax tied to paid items after subtracting discounts and refunds
Sales Tax Summary (Accrual Basis): This report is based on invoices you’ve sent (billed amounts, even if unpaid). It uses invoice line items and whether each one is marked “Taxable.” The date range is driven by the invoice date, not when payments are made.

Example: You invoice a customer $200 in August for that pool service but they don’t pay until September. The tax for that job will still appear in August's Accrual report, because it’s tied to when the invoice was sent, not when it was paid.

Key numbers you’ll see:
  • Subject to Tax – sum of invoice line items that are marked as taxable
  • Not Subject to Tax – line items not marked as taxable, plus non-taxable items like service fees
  • Tax Billed – tax tied to billed items after subtracting discounts and refunds
In Summary: Cash reflects real money in your bank, and Accrual reflects what you’ve billed, even if it hasn’t been paid yet.
