Step-by-step instructions . . .

Skimmer gives you customizable tasks that you can mark as completed on the route stop. You can customize both the universal service checklist, and individual checklist items for specific pools. We show you how to do that in another tutorial. Here, we’ll show you how to mark a task as complete, and how to satisfy additional criteria.

On the route screen, find the service checklist. Typically, if there are any custom tasks for this pool, they will appear at the top of the list. In this case, we have two boxes – one for what’s due today, and one for what’s due in the future. The custom task is not due until next week, so it gets its own Upcoming box.

Vacuum, Backwash, and Brush Pool are standard tasks that will be on the list for each service, and the tech can choose whether to mark them as completed. To complete them, swipe right, and the item will get a check mark and turn gray. Swipe right again to take it back. When completed, the description changes to what you chose during setup, and that will be sent to the customer if you include the checklist in the service email.

We also have two items with stars and a note that says “due today.” These are required checklist items. The tech must complete them before they’re able to mark the route stop as finished. Another item has a camera icon. This indicates a photo must be taken for the task before the route stop can be finished.

Now we’ve completed all the checklist items required for today. But let’s say something comes up, and that upcoming task for next week needs to be done today. Skimmer allows that, too. Just like any other task, swipe right to complete it.
