Step-by-step instructions . . .

Skimmer lets you choose specific parameters for where your emails go. On the web portal, go to Settings and then Service Emails. Scroll past the basic email settings, past the check boxes, until you see the heading Choose Where to Send Emails. Here you’ll find three options:

  • Option 1: Send emails to customers unless they’re on the Do Not Email list or don’t have an email address. This is the standard option that Skimmer has always offered. Customers get an email unless there’s a specific reason you’ve chosen not to send them one. In those cases, no email is sent.
  • Option 2: Send emails to customers, but if they’re on the Do Not Email list or don’t have an email address, send the email to the Alternate Email address below. This is similar to option 1, with a key difference. Instead of no email sent for those customers, their emails are still sent, just not to them. They’ll go to whatever email address you specify.
  • Option 3: Send emails to the Alternate Email address below instead of to customers. Maybe you don’t want to the customers receiving the emails, but you still want them. You can choose this option and specify where all the emails will go. Some might use this if you’re just starting out with Skimmer and want to get used to the emails and what they include before sending them to customers. Either way it’s up to you.
