Step-by-step instructions . . .

1
Sometimes a customer doesn’t need service for a long time. Or maybe their service discontinues, but you want to preserve their service history. But you may not want their accounts cluttering your customer list. Either way, Skimmer’s got you covered. Here’s how to change a customer’s status to Inactive using the app. Start by going to the Customers tab and tapping on their name.

2
Once on their profile, note that this customer currently has a route assignment. That’ll come into play later. Tap the Edit button next to their name, then go to the bottom of the Edit screen. Next to the delete button, you’ll find a second button that will make them inactive. Tap the button.

3
Now you’ll see the Make Inactive screen, which gives you some options. In addition to changing their category to Inactive, you can also choose to delete anything currently assigned to the customer. This includes route assignments, unfinished work orders, and recurring work. We’re going to do that for demonstration, so we’ll leave all these options toggled ON and then tap the button.

4
And you have now changed the customer’s category to Inactive. You can see this easily on the Customers tab by the little symbol next to their name, and by seeing that they now appear in the Inactive customers tab. Also, if we tap back into their profile, we can see that their route assignment has been removed. So that’s how you use the app to make a customer inactive, and to remove any work assignments from their profile.
